Ukraine to establish new Bank for Development in 2011, says official

LONDON, May 17 – The Ukrainian Bank for Development will be established by the end of 2011 and will replace state-targeted programs, Vladyslav Kaskiv, the head of the State Agency for Investment and National Projects Management, said at the seventh Ukrainian Investment Summit organized by the Adam Smith Conferences in London on Monday.


Pavlohrad Chemical suspends recycling of SS-24 missile stages

KIEV, May 17 - Pavlohrad chemical plant (Dnipropetrovsk region) on May 1 had to suspend the recycling of SS-24 missile stages with critical storage terms for missile fuel than cannot be prolonged due to a lack of financing, the company’s director, Leonid Shyman, told Interfax-Ukraine last week.


Cabinet proposal could transfer oil field to Gazprom, says MP

KIEV, May 17 – A proposal by the Ukrainian cabinet to Vanco Prykerchenska Ltd. (British Virginia Islands) to sign an amicable agreement could lead to the transfer of the Prykerchensky oil field to the control of Russia's Gazprom, Our Ukraine-People's Self Defense faction MP Borys Tarasiuk said on the Fifth TV channel.


Property fund sells 25% Chernihivoblenergo stake for UAH223 million

KIEV, May 14 – The State Property Fund sold a 25% plus one share stake in Chernihivoblenergo, a regional electricity supply company, on Thursday for UAH 223.423 million to On-line Capital Ltd.

The initial price of the stake was UAH 119.019 million.

The second company that took part in the bidding was TEKT-Trade Ltd.


Ukrainian metals cos in for tough time, says trade group director
