65% of retailers expect recovery in Ukrainian retail sector, poll indicates

KYIV, June 17 – Some 65% of retailers surveyed by international company Colliers Ukraine expect recovery in the Ukrainian retail market in the next year or two.


Ukraine still on course to raise UAH 12-bln from selling state assets

KYIV, June 17 – The delay in the legislative unblocking of large-scale privatization led to the postponement of tenders for a number of objects to 2022, however, provided there are no bureaucratic obstacles, the prepared objects are enough for the receipt of UAH 12 billion planned in the 2021 state budget, Head of the State Property Fund (SPF) Dmytro Sennychenko has said.


Ukraine improves standing in Global Peace Index, report shows

KYIV, June 17 – Ukraine's score in Global Peace Index in 2020 improved by 0.22 or 7.6%, to 2.66, which recorded the largest increase in peacefulness globally among 163 countries, according to the Global Peace Index (GPI) report posted by the London-based Institute for Economics and Peace on Thursday.


Ukraine may run two pension systems for retirees since 2021

KYIV, June 17 – Ukraine may have two pension systems running from 2021 at the same time, including one for all potential pensioners and one the people entitled to a preferential pension, Social Policy Minister Maryna Lazebna said.


Govt’s bill outlines power reduction in feed-in tariffs thru 2024

KYIV, June 16 – The price offer of a bidder in a green electricity auction for solar power plants and wind farms to be held before December 31, 2024, cannot be higher than 9 eurocents per kW and for auctions that will be held starting from January 1, 2025- no more than 8 eurocents per kW.


Prime Minister seeks EBRD’s funding to rebuild Ukraine’s roads

Govt submits bill to Parliament to cut feed-in tariff for solar plants

KYIV, June 17 – The government's bill on improving the conditions for supporting the production of electricity from alternative sources provides for a reduction in the feed-in tariff (FiT) for solar plants launched from July 1, 2015 to December 31, 2019 with a capacity of more than 1 MW by 15%, for wind farms with turbines with a capacity of 2,000 kW– by 7.5%.


Ukrnafta increases oil output 0.9% on year in Jan-May

KYIV, June 17 – Ukrnafta increased oil and condensate production by 0.9% to 638,300 tons in January-May, while gas production – by 2.2% or 10.7 million cubic meters, to 493.2 million cubic meters.


Ukraine cuts ferroalloy output 21.3% on year in Jan-May

KYIV, June 16 - Ukraine reduced ferroalloy output 21.3% year-on-year in January-May, to 340,300 tons, the Ukrainian Ferroalloy Producers' Association told Interfax-Ukraine.
