USDA increases Ukraine’s barley export forecast to 4.8-mln mt in 2019/20

KYIV, Sept 16 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) reviewed upwards its forecast for export of barley from Ukraine in the 2019/20 agricultural year (July-June) by 0.4 million tons compared with the August forecast, to 4.8 million tons, and barley harvest forecast – by 0.55 million tons, to 9.2 million tons.


Ukrainian regulators may shut down 112.tv after court ruling

KYIV, Sept 16 – The Sixth Administrative Court of Appeal of Kyiv has rejected an appeal by 112.Ukraine TV and the channel could be closed in the nearest future by the decision of the regulator, a statement on the site of 112.Ukraine says, referring to the channel's lawyer Vasyl Smetana.

NBU allows fast-track procedure merger of Alfa Bank, Ukrsotsbank

KYIV, Sept 16 – The National Bank of Ukraine on September 12 allowed two Kyiv-based banks – Alfa Bank and Ukrsotsbank – to reorganize through merging Ukrsotsbank with Alfa-Bank under a fast-track procedure, and announced the launch of the reorganization, Alfa-Bank Ukraine said on its website.


Fitch upgrades credit rating of Ukrainian cities of Lviv, Odesa, Dnipro

KYIV, Sept 16 – Fitch Ratings has upgraded three Ukrainian local and regional governments' (LRGs) Long-Term Foreign- and Local-Currency Issuer Default Ratings (IDRs) to 'B' from 'B-', the rating agency has said on its website.
