Parliament backs scrap metal export duty hike legislation

KYIV, May 17 – Parliament introduced amendments to address shortage of ferrous metal scrap in the domestic market, which have raised the export duty rate from EUR 30 per ton, to EUR42 per ton and extended its effect for another 12 months.
