Gasoline and diesel excise duty falls for 3rd consecutive period

KIEV, July 24 – The Energy and Coal Industry Ministry has adjusted excise duty on gasoline and diesel fuel downward for the third 10-day period of July, with the rate for gasoline reduced by EUR 26.48 per ton, to EUR 206.56 per ton.

Cabinet draws up list of companies using special budget fund

KIEV, July 24 – The Cabinet of Ministers has drawn up a list of the energy facilities that will be financed from the special fund of the 2008 national budget using funds raised from a surcharge on power and heat bills.

"Today the government passed a resolution with a corresponding list," Fuel and Energy Minister Yuriy Prodan told reporters in Kiev after a cabinet meeting on Wednesday.
