Interpipe copes with logistics, security as Russia shells Nikopol

Five Ukrainian banks need additional capital, NBU’s stress test shows
KYIV, Dec 22 – The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) conducted a stability assessment for the 20 largest banks, which collectively have more than 90% of the country sector’s net assets, and identified the need for additional capitalization of five banks, but two of them have already managed to increase capital adequacy to targeted standards following the audit.

Ukraine to cancel simplified taxation system by mid-2023: lawmaker
KYIV, Dec 20 – The simplified taxation system of 2% introduced at the beginning of the war will be canceled by mid-2023 as the government had faced up to UAH 10 billion shortfall in funding, Danylo Hetmantsev, head of the parliamentary committee on finance, taxation and customs policy, said.

Power outages top Ukrainian small businesses’ list of problems
KYIV, Dec 20 – Power outages topped the list of obstacles to doing business during the war in November, and security again came in third place, according to the results of the seventh monthly survey of enterprises "Ukrainian business during the war" conducted in November 2022 by the Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting (IER).
