World Bank to study Ukraine’s electric vehicle infrastructure demand
KYIV, Oct 23 – The World Bank is initiating a comprehensive study of the development of public electric transport infrastructure in Ukraine to clarify the real needs of the market, World Bank representatives said at a meeting with Infrastructure Minister Vladyslav Krykliy.

Ukraine to merge 60 defense firms into nine major groups: Deputy PM
KYIV, Oct 23 – More than 60 enterprises of the state concern Ukroboronprom in the process of transformation will be reorganized into nine holding companies in the following areas: six will become part of the future state-owned holding company Defense Systems of Ukraine, three – part of Aerospace Systems, Deputy Prime Minister for Strategic Industries Oleh Urusky said.

Zaporizhia aluminum plant ZALK resume operation after long idle period
KYIV, Oct 26 – Zaporizhia aluminum mill ZAlK after a long idle period has started smelting aluminum from secondary metals, an industry source said Monday.
"Today, 300 kg of aluminum have been smelted from secondary raw materials – aluminum scrap," the Interfax-Ukraine's source said.

Share of Ukrainian banks expecting deterioration drops to 19%
KYIV, Oct 26 – The share of banks expecting loan portfolio quality deterioration in the next 12 months decreased to 19% for the corporate segment and to 25% for consumer lending, while in the second quarter this indicator was 44% and 52% respectively, according to the results of the Bank Lending survey conducted by the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU), which is posted on the regulator's website.
