KYIV, Dec 22 – Energoatom President Petro Kotin and Cameco President and CEO Tim Gitzel discussed the possibility of purchasing uranium hexafluoride from the Canadian company for the production of nuclear fuel for Ukrainian nuclear power plants during an online meeting on Wednesday.

Ukraine’s fertilizer market contracts sharply, but then recovers

Philip Morris sues Ukraine to strike off UAH 1.2-bln fine
KYIV, Dec 22 - Philip Morris International (PMI) has filed a lawsuit for bilateral investment arbitration against the government of Ukraine in connection with the unfair, in their opinion, decision of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) to fine them UAH 1.2 billion in the case of the wholesale distributor Tedis Ukraine, according to a press release from PMI.

Most Ukrainian firms didn’t cut worker salaries despite COVID-19
KYIV, Dec 22 - Starting from March 2020, 18.8% of Ukrainian companies were forced to reduce salaries to their employees due to quarantine; 72.4% reported that quarantine did not affect their work, and therefore there was no revision of salaries, and 8.8% of companies, on the contrary, increased them this year.
