Ukraine halts Russian advance in Vovchansk

KYIV, May 16 - Ukrainian units locked in street battles with the Kremlin’s forces in a key northeastern Ukraine town have halted the Russian advance, military officials in Kyiv claimed Thursday, though a senior Moscow official said the frontline push had enough resources to keep going.

Ukrtruboprom increases pipe production 12.6% on year in January-March

KYIV, May 16 – Enterprises of the Ukrtruboprom association increased pipe production by 12.6% in January-March of the current year compared to the same period last year, reaching 142,500 tons.

According to the association's data released on Tuesday, in January 2024, 52,500 tons of pipe products were produced (174.4% compared to January 2023), in February – 41,400 tons (105.1% compared to February 2023), and in March – 48,600 tons (85.1% compared to March 2023).

Most Ukrainians support boosting spending on security and defense sector

Ukrainian growth may slow to 2.9% in 2024: European forecast
