Ukraine's coal reserves at power plants reported down 4.6% on week Journal Staff Report
Ukraine’s coal reserves at fossil fuel-burning power plants fell 4.6% over the past week, or by 67,000 metric tons, to 1.397 million mt as of December 15, compared with 1.464 million mt as of December 8, UkrEnergo, a company that runs the country’s power grid, said Wednesday. The power plants also had 114,980 mt of fuel oil in stocks as of December 15, up from 113,610 mt as of December 8, the company said.
