KIEV, Dec. 7 – Opposition leader Viktor Yanukovych on Monday called on Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko to stop aggressive rhetoric and work towards reconciliation of political elites after the presidential election next month.

Yanukovych issued a statement after Tymoshenko had threatened to nationalize assets of many Ukrainian businessmen in the event of winning the presidency as part of her anti-corruption strategy.
