KIEV, Nov. 30 – The National Bank of Ukraine would like to receive funds from a tranche of a credit from the International Monetary Fund to place in its reserves in order to support the balance of payments, said Serhiy Kruhlyk, the director of the NBU's department for economic liaisons.
"The NBU would be happy to have all of the funds coming from the IMF in their reserves," he said.
He said that sending the IMF's funds to the NBU's reserves would more be in line with the rules of the fund's operation than if they were used in the financing of the national budget this year.
