KIEV, Jan. 12 – Expenses for the payment of pensions and subsidies in Ukraine in 2009 are estimated at UAH162.8 billion, including UAH32.2 billion from the national budget, according to a posting on the official website of the Ukrainian Pension Fund.

The report does not disclose data on expenses for paying pensions and subsidies in 2008.

The average pension in Ukraine as of Jan. 1, 2009 was UAH 894.95.
