KIEV, May 13 - Industrial production in Ukraine grew 8% in January-April, the State Statistics Committee reported.

Industrial production fell 1% on the previous month in April 2008 and was up 8.3% year-on-year.

The biggest year-on-year growth in April was observed in machine building with a 32.2% increase, timber processing with a 20.4% rise, construction materials - 16.8%, and pulp and paper industry and printing - 12.6%.
