KIEV, April 23 – Ukraine lifted restrictions on exports of grain in anticipation of a good grain harvest later this year, ending a controversial measure that had been first enacted 17 months ago.

The move is a major relief for grain traders that have campaigned for abolishing the practice ever since it had been slapped by the government of then Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych.
