KIEV, Feb. 14 – A new rift emerged between President Viktor Yushchenko and Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko on Thursday over a bill that regulates about $20 billion in annual spending by state companies and agencies.
The Tymoshenko group joined forces with the opposition Regions Party on Wednesday to approve in the first reading the bill that the office of Yushchenko says makes the spending less transparent.
