KIEV, Feb. 2 – Ukraine’s top security body on Friday decided in principle to remove RosUkrEnergo, a Russian gas trader, as the only gas supplier to the country, Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko said Saturday.

The decision by the National Security and Defense Council may be implemented only after President Viktor Yushchenko signs the respective decree. Tymoshenko said Yushchenko backed the decision.
