KIEV, Nov. 22 - Ukraine’s output of crude steel is expected to increase 4% to 42.7 million metric tons in 2007, up from 40.8 million tons in 2006, UkrRudProm, an association uniting major metal producers, reported Thursday.
Ukraine also plans to boost pig iron production this year by 8% to 35.57 million tons and to increase rolled metal output by 5% to 36.06 million tons, the association said.
