KIEV, Nov. 12 - The U. S. Department of Agriculture has improved its forecast for the grain harvest in Ukraine by 1 million tons, with rises of 500,000 tons for fodder grain and maize, respectively.

According to a department report, the estimate for the fodder grain harvest has been increased to 14.05 million tons, while transition stock estimate for the 2007/2008 marketing year was increased from 1.24 million tons to 1.53 million tons.
