KIEV, Oct. 25 - Ukraine, one of the world’s largest consumers of natural gas, will probably reduce gas consumption by 5.83% this year, reflecting warmer weather and energy conservation efforts, the government reported Thursday.

Ukraine’s gas consumption will probably drop to 69.63 billion cubic meters in 2007, down from 73.94 billion cubic meters in 2006, the government said.
