KIEV, Oct. 15 – Inflation in Ukraine in 2007 may reach 12-14%, member of Ukraine's National Academy of Science and member of the National Bank of Ukraine council Valeriy Heyets believes.
"If we assume that a manipulative component was missing from price growth factors, and price hikes were prompted only by objective factors, then inflation may be 12-14% in 2007. Otherwise, it may be lower. But much will depend on how fast the coalition is formed and the government starts working, and also on how radical the first steps of new government are," he said in an interview with the Dzerkalo Tyzhnia weekly.
