KIEV, Oct. 11 - It is important for the European Union to cooperate with Ukraine in the military sector and in other areas, Chairman of the European Union Military Committee General Henri Bentegeat said at a meeting with Ukraine's Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief and head of the General Headquarters Serhiy Kyrychenko during a visit to Ukraine on Thursday.

"The goal of my visit is to learn about your country, to see the Ukrainian Armed Forces and to demonstrate the EU's willingness to cooperate with Ukraine both in the military sector and on a number of other issues," the head of the EU Military Committee said.
