BERLIN, Feb. 8 - At a meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin, Ukraine??™s president Viktor Yushchenko said on Thursday his country was conscious of its responsibility to be a rliable energy partner for Europe.

"Ukraine will abide by its duties in the energy sector," Yushchenko said on Thursday after meeting with Merkel, accoring to Deutsche Welle. "Ukraine is conscious of the responsibility to ensure a steady flow of energy to western Europe."
