KYIV, March 19 - Chinese President Xi Jinping is expected to travel to Moscow on Monday for talks with his Russian counterpart in a trip that may provide Vladimir Putin a diplomatic boost amid his escalating confrontation with the West.

Xi will be the first foreign leader to meet Putin after the International Criminal Court has issued a warrant for Putin’s arrest on war crimes charges for the forced transfer of “hundreds” of Ukrainian children to Russia.
