KYIV, July 5 – The expansion of electricity exports to EU countries will be one of the factors that will allow Ukraine to stop dispatching restrictions on electrical installations using renewable energy sources, Board Chairman of the Solar Energy Association of Ukraine Vladyslav Sokolovsky has said at a press conference on Tuesday.
He referred to the Guaranteed Buyer state enterprise, according to which the volume of dispatching restrictions on solar generation in March-May 2022 amounted to 573 MWh, or 30% of the generating potential of solar power plants. The total cost of the green electricity underproduced in this way is estimated at EUR 80 million, or UAH 2.8 billion.
