KYIV, Jan 6 – Ukraine’s national power grid Ukrenergo has begun construction of a fiber-optic communication line (FOCL) with a length of 1,525 km, the company said on its website on Wednesday.
"The new FOCL will be laid on sections of 20 330 kV OPLs [overhead power lines], which pass through ten regions of Ukraine: Kyiv, Cherkasy, Vinnytsia, Poltava, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Kherson, Mykolaiv and Odesa," the company said.
