KHARKIV, Nov 30 – The Kharkiv State Aircraft Manufacturing Company (KSAMC) does not need to purchase Russian components and intends to follow the path of import substitution, Director General of the KSAMC Oleksandr Kryvokon said.
"There is another way that Antonov showed. The 178th aircraft (An-178). It has been modernized today with import substitution ... Why do we need Russian?" Kryvokon told reporters, commenting on the opinion of President of Motor Sich (Zaporizhia) Viacheslav Bohuslayev on the need to temporarily permit the purchase and use of Russian components.
