KIEV, Oct. 20 ??“ Amendments to Ukraine??™s incorporation laws approved by Parliament foresee a reduction of the shareholder meeting quorum level to over 50%, from 60%.

A total of 241 out of 436 lawmakers registered in the hall voted for the amendments on Thursday. The law takes effect from Jan. 1, 2007.

The governmental coalition supported the law, while the opposition factions, the Bloc of Yulia Tymoshenko and Our Ukraine Bloc voted against the law.
