KYIV, Jan 4 – Ukraine’s trade deficit shrunk more than 50% to $4.9 billion in 2020 from $10.22 billion in 2019 due to accelerating exports of steel and other commodities, Taras Kachka, Deputy Minister of Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture, said Monday.
Kachka, who is also Ukraine’s Trade Representative, said Ukraine, and the world, have been gradually recovering from a major contraction caused by the coronavirus pandemic earlier this year.
