Ukrainian fashion brands struggle to enter big shopping malls, study shows

KYIV, Dec 30 - The share of local Ukrainian brands in the structure of the pool of fashion tenants of high-quality shopping and entertainment centers in Kyiv is 12%, according to a study by Colliers International (Ukraine).

"In today's conditions, for the majority of local players in the fashion segment, entering high-quality retail facilities has become financially unaffordable due to the level of rental rates and the situation with the sales of the operators. The current rental rates can only be afforded by certain Ukrainian brands that already have a functioning network," the study says.
