KYIV, Dec 23 – The warehouse logistics market in Ukraine felt least of all the negative consequences of the coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis; by the end of 2020, in anticipation of the next lockdown, the demand for warehouse space had significantly increased, which will lead to an increase in rental rates already at the beginning of 2021, co-owner of the Zammler Group of Logistics Companies Viktor Shevchenko said.

"The warehouse business suffered the least from the crisis caused by the pandemic. At the beginning of the year, we recorded a slight drop, but then the situation returned to normal. Now the demand for warehouse space has significantly increased. This is due to the fact that many companies previously sold only imported goods, roughly speaking, 'off the wheels', now the business began to form stocks in advance. Now, at the end of the year, in anticipation of the next lockdown, the warehouses are full. At the same time, no new areas have appeared on the market," he told Interfax-Ukraine.
