KYIV, Dec 23 – Energoatom opened its part of the open switchgear at Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant (NPP), which is a part of the 750 kV overhead power transmission line "Zaporizhia NPP – Kakhovska substation" which is 186 km long.

According to President of Energoatom Petro Kotin, the costs of the company for the construction of switchgear, which was carried out over three years, amounted to UAH 800 million.

"The 750 kV overhead power line will allow Energoatom to deliver the full capacity [6,000 MW] of Zaporizhia NPP without any restrictions," Kotin said.
