KYIV, Nov 23 – Some 39.3% of Ukrainian businesses, the largest share in four years, said they benefited in some way from Ukraine joining the Association Agreement with the European Union, according to a poll by the Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting.
The share increased from 28% in 2018, 31.6% in 2017 and 28% in 2016, indicating a trickle down effect that more businesses are now involved in trade with the EU.
Meanwhile, at least 50.7% of businesses said the agreement had little effect on them, while 5.6% said their fortunes had declined.
