KYIV, Oct 13 – Ukraine has successfully completed testing the unit No. 3 at South-Ukrainian NPP as part of wider test to see if the country’s power network can be connected to the European power grid.
The tests were needed to certify the transmission system operator for successful synchronization of power grids in accordance with the requirements of the Third Energy Package of the EU.
Energoatom said that representatives of the ENTSO-E Consortium and DMSS-Engineering with the support of the USAID Energy Security Project took part in testing the excitation systems of turbine generators.
