KYIV, Sept 21 - The results of reporting for the first half of the year showed a moderate impact of quarantine on the activities of Ukrainian insurers, but it affected the volume of lending by non-bank financial institutions, Olha Maksymchuk, the head of the insurance market supervision department of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU), said.
According to the National Bank's Facebook page, she also said that the central bank has begun to exercise supervision based on a risk-based approach, taking into account a proportional approach. That is, requirements for financial institutions will depend on the risk to consumers and the company's influence on the market. Oversight will be proactive and anticipate problems.
