KYIV, Sept 8 – The development of gas production in Ukraine requires government decisions, in particular, the signing of production sharing agreements (PSA) and subsoil users' access to the Black Sea shelf, Naftogaz Ukrainy said.
"Ukraine has prospects to move from stagnation to production growth. But new directions and projects that can provide such a result carry significant risks, require significant investments, new technologies, expertise... Successful implementation of these opportunities requires a proactive position on the part of the state, our common work," the company said in a press release, citing Naftogaz Ukrainy Executive Board Chairman Andriy Kobolev after the presentation of strategic directions and gas production projects to Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.
