KYIV, Aug 4 – The Business Activity Expectations Index, calculated by the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU), increased by 1.5 percentage points (p.p.) in July, to 46.9 after rising by 9.6 p.p. in June, however, it is still below the neutral value of 50 points and signals the prevalence of pessimistic business expectations, according to the regulator's website.
"Enterprises continue to adapt to activities amid quarantine, but they are still restrained in assessing the results of their economic activities. Business expectations are improving for the third month in a row and approaching the equilibrium level," the central bank said.
