KIEV, Sept. 11 ??“ The European Commission could increase its 2006 quota for Ukrainian-produced steel exported to the European Union by 52,000 tons, or 4.9%, the Economy Ministry said.

The ministry said that this was the result of talks between Ukraine and representatives of the European Commission held in Kiev on Aug. 7 and Aug. 8.
