KYIV, July 1 – The law on liberalization of production and distribution of ethyl alcohol on the abolition of state monopoly on alcohol production entered into force on July 1, but only state-owned enterprises remain alcohol producers that will be sold off, acting director of Ukrspyrt Serhiy Bleskun said.

"Until July 1, 2021, alcohol will be produced only at state-owned factories, which will soon be put up for sale. Therefore, it's important now, together with the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade and the State Property Fund, to expedite the bidding process as much as possible," he said.
