KYIV, July 2 – Yuriy Terentyev, the head of the Antimonopoly Committee, may resign following a conflict with President Volodymyr Zelenskiy over a steep fine imposed on a tobacco company, Interfax-Ukraine reported citing a government source.
Terentyev was unavailable for comment.
The speculations come a day after Censor.net, a popular media outlet, reported that Zelenskiy had apparently criticized Terentyev for UAH 6.5 billion fine imposed on TEDIS, a tobacco distribution company with strong ties to Russian business interests.
