KYIV, May 27 – Ukrainian coke chemical plants reduced by 24% on the year imports of coking coal and coal concentrate for coking to 3.06 million metric tons in January-April, Ukrmetallurgprom reported Wednesday.

The supply of Ukrainian coal amounted to 1.27 million tons in the first four months of 2020, which is 53% more than in the same period in 2019.

In general, in January-April 2020, Ukrainian coke plants received 4.33 million tons of coal for coking, which is 11% lower than in January-April 2019. The share of imported coal in the total supply amounted to 70.7% compared to 85% in January-April 2019.
