KIEV, Sept. 4 ??“ Nucor Corporation, a leading steel company in the United States, is planning to sign a contract with Makiyivka steel mill in Donetsk region for the purchase of pig iron for its enterprises.

Nucor Vice President Lad Hall, who headed a group of U.S. specialists visited the mill and confirmed the readiness of his company to sign a contract with the mill on the supply of Makiyivka-produced pig iron for its enterprises in the United States, the mill's press services said last week, Interfax-Ukraine reported.
