KYIV, April 3 – Ukraine suspended exports of buckwheat, one of its major food staples, amid fears that coronavirus pandemic has broken global supply chains and may lead to sweeping food shortages.
The exports will be suspended through July 1, according to a Cabinet of Ministers resolution, signaling the earliest time when the government expects coronavirus outbreak to ebb.
