KYIV, Feb 19 – Imperial Tobacco in Ukraine is working out available legal tools to protect the company in the litigation related to the fine of UAH 460 million imposed by the Antimonopoly Committee, Country General Manager of Imperial Tobacco in Ukraine Rastislav Cernak said.
"Imperial Tobacco filed a lawsuit with Kyiv's business court to appeal the decision of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine. On January 20, the court held the first preparatory meeting. The presiding judge in the case familiarized herself with the procedural petitions of the parties and, understanding the complexity of the case, as well as with the purpose of fully assisting the parties in the exercise of their procedural rights, provided us and the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine with additional time to prepare evidence and substantiate legal positions," he told Interfax-Ukraine.
