KYIV, Feb 3 – Naftogaz Ukrayiny has agreed to return UAH 15 billion worth of natural gas kept in underground gas storage facilities to Ukrnafta, ending years of dispute between the two companies, Naftogaz director Yuriy Vitrenko said Monday.
Naftogaz, a state-owned company, owns 50%-plus-share in Ukrnafta, but the two essentially operate as separate companies. Billionaire Ihor Kolomoyskiy, a minority shareholder in Ukrnafta, has long campaigned for the transaction to go ahead.
