KYIV, Feb 3 – Russia’s Gazprom paid the Ukrainian gas pipeline operator for shipping 5.52 billion cubic meters of gas to Europe in January, but moved only 2.55 Bcm, Serhiy Makogon, the head of GTSOU, reported.
The difference underscores the advantage of the ship-or-pay clause in the contract between Gazprom and GTSOU that was signed in December 2019.
"The paid volume was used by 46%," he wrote on his Facebook page on Monday morning.
