KYIV, Jan 16 - Ukraine will probably scrap plans of building $200 million new natural gas pipeline to Poland and will use existing links and backhauling to meet demand for imports, Serhiy Makohon, the head of GTSOU, the state-owned gas shipping company, said Thursday.
The pipeline was supposed to handle 5 billion cubic meters/year to 8 Bcm/year, was suggested in 2017 by the government of then President Petro Poroshenko as a way to import U.S. gas via LNG terminal in a Polish port.
