KYIV, Dec 4 – Mastercard and Rakuten Viber, in partnership with NeoPay and Edenlab, have launched the Moneytou money transfer service in Ukraine, which allows transfering money directly during communication in the Viber application without information about the card number.

"Now users pass each other a card number. It's not very convenient, long and not always safe ... We believe that the main value of this service is that 96% of users in Ukraine use Viber. This means that smartphone users should not install third-party applications, all transactions are encrypted, all money transfer messages are sent only to the addressee, transaction data is not stored on our servers," Atanas Raykov, Viber's business development director in the CIS, Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, said.
