KYIV, Nov 29 – National Nuclear Generating Company Energoatom has said that the reasons for dismissing President of Energoatom Yuriy Nedashkovsky presented by the Ministry of Energy and Environment Protection are manipulative and evidencing the absence of real grounds for his dismissal.
The respective statement was posted on the Energoatom's website on Friday.
Commenting on allegations of ineffective management, Energoatom recalled that despite the fact that the company has the lowest electricity tariff (56.7 kopecks per kWh), last year it paid UAH 11.5 billion in taxes, as well as implemented investment projects worth UAH 12.8 billion. At the same time, in January-September 2019, payments to the national and local budgets and extra-budgetary funds amounted to UAH 12.9 billion, which is 15% more than for the entire last year.
