KYIV, Oct 2 – The Cabinet of Ministers focusing on the reduction of environment pollution plans to introduce integrated emissions permits for large industrial enterprises.
The plans are outlined in the program of the government posted on the website of the Verkhovna Rada.
Focusing on toughening environmental supervision, it is planned to create a system for automatic monitoring of emissions at enterprises, a system for collecting, analyzing and publishing data on emissions, as well as the introduction of a register of business entities that have an environmental impact. In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers intends to toughen responsibility for violating environmental laws, to introduce the "polluters pay" principle. These initiatives stimulate the modernization of large industrial enterprises, the government said.
